Phnom Penh:Cambodian Minister of Women's Affairs, Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, engaged in bilateral talks with New Zealand Ambassador Raylene Siale Tagaloa Liufalani to enhance cooperation between Cambodia and New Zealand.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions, held on September 28, focused on expanding both bilateral and multilateral efforts in women's affairs and human resource development.
Dr. Phavi expressed gratitude for New Zealand's hospitality during a recent Cambodian delegation visit focused on "Gender-Responsive Budgeting." She praised the cooperation with New Zealand and The Asia Foundation on the AMPLIFY project, a regional initiative aimed at reducing conflict impacts on women and promoting their role in peace processes within ASEAN.
Additionally, Dr. Phavi appreciated New Zealand's ongoing support in providing scholarships for capacity-building and human resource development for Cambodian civil servants and students.
Ambassador Liufalani pledged continued support for Cambodia€™s efforts in human resource development and gender mainstreaming, reaffirming New Zealand's commitment to a strong partnership.
