Phnom penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed H.E. Cho Hyun, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (RoK), at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Cho Hyun praised the steady progress in relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea across several sectors. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his gratitude for the RoK's active contributions to Cambodia's socio-economic development. He emphasized the significance of the South Korean Foreign Minister's official visit, highlighting its role in deepening the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
The Cambodian Premier extended his appreciation to the Korean government for its ongoing support and concern for Cambodian citizens residing in Korea. He also assured that the safety and well-being of Korean nationals in Cambodia remains a priority for the Royal Government.
During their meeting, both leaders discussed strategies to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in several key areas. These areas include the economy, investment, trade, national defense and security, industry, the establishment of special economic zones for Korean businesses, people-to-people exchanges, and the promotion of tourism. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the partnership for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both countries.
