Phnom Penh:Cambodia and the United States have emphasized their enduring friendship and productive collaboration, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various areas.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this commitment was underscored by H.E. Vong Meng, Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Ms. Aleks Zittle, Charg© d'Affaires, a.i. of the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia, during a friendly football match. The event was organized on October 2 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation along with the U.S. Embassy.
The football match was held to commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Cambodia and the United States, as stated in a news release issued by the Ministry on Saturday.
Both officials embraced the football match as a meaningful initiative to enhance mutual understanding, trust, and closer people-to-people connections between the Ministry and the Embassy, further nurturing the long-standing friendship and partnership between Cambodia and the United States.
