Cambodia Anticipates Success in Upcoming 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines

Cambodia is positive about the success in the upcoming 2019 SEA Games to be hosted by the Philippines from November 30 to December 11.

The optimism was shared by H.E. Bou Chumserey, Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Vice President of Federation of Boules and Petangue of Cambodia recently.

H.E. Bou Chumserey continued that Cambodia is well prepared for the 30 sports the country proposed for the games, adding that among those sports, Cambodia is very confident of at least nine, especially Petangue.

Cambodia achieved gold medals for Petangue, and has been very good at football, wrestling, beach volleyball, board volleyball, basketball, hockey, and e-sport.

Cambodia will send 400 athletes, sport officials, coaches, arbitrators and team leaders to the international challenge.

In 2017, Cambodia won 17 gold, silver and bronze medals from the year's SEA Games taking place in Malaysia.
