Cambodia Bans Fuel, Gas Imports From Thailand Amid Border Tensions

Phnom Penh: Cambodia has announced a ban on the import of all fuel and gas from Thailand, effective from Sunday midnight, following escalating tensions at the border between the two ASEAN member states. Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Manet, made the announcement through his official social media platforms, emphasizing the cessation of imports starting from midnight on Sunday.

According to Nam News Network, Prime Minister Hun Manet assured that fuel supply companies in Cambodia are capable of sourcing fuel and gas from alternative suppliers to adequately meet the domestic demand. He conveyed confidence in the country's ability to sustain its fuel and gas needs without reliance on imports from Thailand.
