Cambodia, Germany to Further Enhance More Cooperation

Trade, investment, tourism, mine clearance, …. bilateral cooperation, were the topics of discussion between Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, and H.E. Stefan Messerer, Ambassador of Germany to Cambodia. In the courtesy meeting here at the Senate Palace this morning, H.E. Stefan Messerer congratulated the achievements resulted from the bilateral relations with Cambodia during the first two years of his diplomatic term in the Kingdom. H.E. Stefan Messerer said during the period, a total of 17 delegations from Germany had visited Cambodia and in the near future, there will be three more German business delegations to visit the Kingdom. The ambassador also highlighted the achievements and expectations on growing trade and tourism activities after the opening of a honorary consulate in Siem Reap province. At the international arena, H.E. Stefan Messerer said Cambodia and Germany have been supported each other, and thanked Cambodia for her technical support to mine clearanc e operations in Ukraine. For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his gratitude to Germany for her assistance and contribution to the development of Cambodia. The senate president also took the opportunity to ask the German side to further boost the economic and investment ties between the two countries, and to continue supporting Cambodia's human resource development as well as demining activities.
