Leaders of the Governments of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic have agreed to further tighten the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in different areas.
The agreement was made during the bilateral talk here this morning between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his visiting Lao counterpart H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith.
Both Premiers had a candid discussion in a warm and understanding atmosphere on various issues such as border, trade, tourism, energy, etc. that are common benefit to the two nations.
After the bilateral meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith presided over the signing ceremony of five key cooperation documents, including the Memorandum of Understanding on Labour Cooperation, Agreement on Energy Cooperation, and three different electricity deals between Electricite du Cambodge and Electricite du Laos, TSBP SEKONG POWER AND MINERAL COMPANY LIMITED and XEKONG THERMAL POWER PLANT COMPANY LIMITED.
H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith arrived in Phnom Penh this morning for a two-day official visit, at the invitation of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
The official visit of H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith in Cambodia will significantly contribute to further strengthening and expanding the long-lasting relations of traditional friendship, solidarity, fraternity and fruitful cooperation between both neighbouring countries.
