Phnom penh: The Ministry of Commerce launched today the Cambodia Free Trade Agreement Portal (Cambodia FTA Portal) to foster stronger trade networks and create new opportunities for Cambodia's exports. The launching ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and H.E Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and the private sector.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodia FTA Portal is funded by Australian Aid and CAPRED and aims to facilitate access to information, enabling users to search and understand details, as well as to maximize the benefits from all free trade agreements to which Cambodia is a member. This new platform is expected to serve as a valuable tool for traders, exporters, importers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Through the portal, users can gain knowledge about the free trade agreements that Cambodia is a member of, understand the conditions and procedures related to exporting, and promote trade liberalization and enhanced economic cooperation. H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul emphasized the importance of the platform, stating, "This platform represents a significant step towards increasing our nation's global competitiveness and ensuring that all stakeholders, from small businesses to policymakers, have convenient, up-to-date access to vital trade information."
