Cambodia, Myanmar Vow to Foster Economic, Trade and Investment Cooperation

Cambodia and Myanmar have been committed to strengthening and expanding their economic, trade and investment cooperation both in the bilateral and ASEAN frameworks.

H.E. Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce and H.E. Aung Naing Oo, Myanmar’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations reaffirmed the commitment in their meeting this week in Bali, Indonesia on the sidelines of the ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Special Meeting,

Both sides discussed the economic and trade progress bilaterally and regionally with an aim to boost trade exchange and economic recovery.

The meeting also touched on the acceleration of drafting the Agreement on Cambodia-Myanmar Investment and negotiations for the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement so that they could be signed in the near future.
