Cambodia Ready to Restore Normalcy through Peaceful Settlement

Kuala lumpur: Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. PRAK Sokhonn this afternoon held a pull-aside meeting with H.E. Thongsavan PHOMVIHANE, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao DPR, on the sidelines of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting on the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister expressed heartfelt thanks to the Government of the Lao PDR for the warm hospitality and excellent arrangements provided to the Cambodian delegation during the 15th JCBC and his official visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR, last month.

The discussion focused on regional and international issues, particularly the developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute. H.E. Deputy Prime Minister expressed concern about the worsening situation along the border and reaffirmed Cambodia's readiness to restore normalcy through peaceful settlement for shared peace, stability, and prosperity between the two peoples and nations.
