Cambodia Rejects Thailand’s Accusation of Troop Mobilisation in Poipet

Phnom penh: The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia this evening rejected Thailand's accusation of troop mobilisation in the Poipet area of Banteay Meanchey province, describing the claim as fabricated.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Ministry's statement highlighted that certain Thai news media outlets have disseminated false assertions alleging that 'Cambodia has mobilised troops into the Poipet area, Banteay Meanchey province.'

The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia firmly rejected the content published by the Thai side, stating that it is fabricated and false information, completely contrary to the truth.

The Ministry also clarified that Poipet, located in Banteay Meanchey province, is a major commercial centre with a large population, including many foreign nationals of various nationalities. As such, Cambodia has not mobilised troops into the Poipet area.
