Cambodia, Saudi Arabia Vow to Further Foster Bilateral Relations

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were committed to further strengthening and expanding their bilateral ties by agreeing on the establishment of a bilateral mechanism to discuss cooperation in the potential sectors such as trade, investment, and other areas of common interest.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and his Saudi counterpart, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, made the commitment during their meeting this afternoon, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated Saudi Arabia on its success in hosting the first ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit and expressed satisfaction over the progress in the bilateral relations between both countries, as reflected by the decision to establish the Saudi Embassy in Cambodia.

For his part, the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia expressed his congratulations to Samdech Thipadei on his assumption of office as the Prime Minister of Cambodia, and told him of the direction in promoting relations between the two countries aiming to increase cooperation in a number of key areas, including trade, investment, energy and other potential areas for common interests of both countries and peoples.
