Cambodia, the Philippines to Hold 3rd JCBC Meeting This Week

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of the Philippines will hold the 3rd Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (3rd JCBC) on Dec. 2 via videoconference.

The forthcoming meeting will be co-chaired by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, and the Honorable Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia made public this evening, the 3rd JCBC aims to further strengthen the existing good bilateral relations and explore ways and means to further expand the scope and strengthen efficiency of bilateral cooperation in various fields for socio-economic development and prosperity of the two peoples.

The meeting will also review the progress of the implementation of the Agreed Minutes of the 2nd JCBC signed in 2017 in Manila, the Philippines, said the same source, adding that it also provides an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on cooperation in the regional and international frameworks.

At the end of the meeting, it pointed out, H.E. Prak Sokhonn and the Honorable Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. will virtually sign the Agreed Minutes of the 3rd Meeting of the Cambodia-Philippines Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation.
