Phnom Penh:Cambodia is set to host the Black Swan Summit for the first time in November, aiming to unite high-level stakeholders to explore the role of technology in enhancing financial and economic ties between ASEAN and Francophone markets.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the event is being co-organised by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN), with support from the Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology. Scheduled for November 15-16, 2026, in Phnom Penh, the summit will occur alongside the 20th Francophonie Summit.
The summit will feature various formats, including high-level dialogues, presentations, roundtables, and workshops focused on the impact of technology on financial and economic connections. This event will coincide with the Francophonie Summit and Franco Tech, expected to attract heads of state, policymakers, and business leaders from French-speaking nations.
NBC Governor H.E. Dr. Chea Serey stated that the summit would showcase how technology can help developing countries advance their digital transformation. She emphasized Cambodia's ongoing digital transformation journey, highlighting the country's Bakong digital payment system as a significant achievement.
