Cambodia, UN Reaffirm Partnership as New Resident Coordinator Assumes Office

Cambodia: Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, met with the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ms. Vladanka Andreeva, on Wednesday to discuss deepening cooperation between the Kingdom and the global body. During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Vladanka Andreeva formally presented her credentials to the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Prak Sokhonn extended a warm welcome to the diplomat, congratulating her on the new appointment and expressing confidence in her leadership of the UN country team. The two officials reviewed the long-standing contributions of the United Nations to Cambodia's socio-economic development.

A ministry statement highlighted that both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the Cambodia-UN partnership. They emphasized ensuring that this collaboration aligns with the Royal Government's national priority sectors.
