Cambodia and Vietnam have convened an annual meeting to strengthen their good cooperation on banking and financial sector, according to local media report.
The meeting taking place here in Phnom Penh recently was co-chaired by H.E. Chea Chanto, Governor of National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and H.E. Le Minh Hung, Governor of State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
H.E. Le Minh Hung spoke highly of long-lasting relation between the national banks of the two countries, driving rapid economic growth and development in all sectors.
H.E. Chea Chanto shared the increase of Cambodia's banking scope and operation, significantly contributing to promoting the Kingdom's inclusive financial sector and poverty alleviation.
He thanked the Vietnamese counterpart for its good cooperation, especially in development of the NBC's human resources.
In the meeting, the two delegations also agreed to continue exchange of experience and enhance national currency payment for cross-border trade.
