Cambodia, Vietnam to Boost Bilateral Relations and Cooperation in Key Areas


Phnom penh: Cambodia and Vietnam have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in key sectors, including the economy, trade, national defence and security, education, health, culture, tourism, and infrastructure connectivity, for the mutual benefit of their peoples. The commitment was highlighted during a meeting at the Peace Palace this afternoon between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, H.E. Bui Thanh Son.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Bui Thanh Son commended Cambodia’s significant achievements in recent years and expressed confidence that, under the wise and far-sighted leadership of Samdech Thipadei, the country will continue to make further progress. He also expressed satisfaction with the steady advancement of bilateral relations and noted that regular exchanges of visits at all levels have helped enhance cooperation across various fields.



For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed H.E. Bui Thanh Son and his delegation. He extended condolences to the Government and people of Vietnam over the loss of life and property caused by recent floods. The Prime Minister encouraged relevant ministries, institutions, and authorities, particularly those in border provinces of both countries, to further promote cooperation and transform the shared border area into one of peace, friendship, and prosperity.
