Cambodian and Lao Electricity Authorities Sign MoU on Technical Cooperation

Hanoi: Cambodia's state-run Electricit© du Cambodge (EDC) and the Electricit© du Laos (EDL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Cooperation. The signing ceremony took place in Champasak province, Laos, under the presidency of H.E. PhD. Praing Chulasa, Royal Government of Cambodia Delegate and Director-General of EDC, and H.E. Akhomdeth Vongsay, Managing Director of EDL.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the MoU aims to facilitate the sharing of experiences between the two organizations and provide opportunities for employees and young people associated with the state electricity companies to gain new knowledge. This will be achieved through exchange study tours and other activities, including friendly sports events.

The agreement is also expected to promote collaboration with development partners to enhance technological resources and skills capacity.
