Phnom penh: On Friday, Cambodia observed the one-year anniversary of a significant military incursion by Thai forces. The attack involved the use of heavy artillery, chemical smoke, cluster munitions, airstrikes, and kamikaze drones, targeting both military and civilian areas.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Heng Ratana, the Director General of the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), emphasized the importance of this date on his official Facebook page. He reminded the public of the aggression that took place exactly a year ago, which threatened Cambodia's territorial integrity.
H.E. Heng Ratana urged the nation to regard these events as an important lesson in history and science, aiming to strengthen national unity, resolve, and patriotism. In his message, he also paid homage to the fallen soldiers, national police officers, and civilians who sacrificed their lives during the invasion, honoring their commitment to defending the nation, religion, and the Khmer King.
