New York:Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, who serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with UN Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres during the General Debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting took place on the evening of September 25. During the discussion, H.E. Prak Sokhonn expressed his deep appreciation for the longstanding partnership between Cambodia and the United Nations, which has been ongoing since the 1990s UNTAC mission. He highlighted the UN's significant role in supporting Cambodia's national development. The Deputy Prime Minister commended the Secretary-General for his leadership, noting the achievements in strengthening the organization and maintaining its relevance amid global transformations and challenges. Furthermore, they discussed the current situation at the Cambodia-Thailand border, exchanging views on the matter.
