Cambodian Diplomat Updates Singaporean Counterpart on Cambodia-Thailand Border Conflict

Kuala lumpur: Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral discussion with his Singaporean counterpart H.E. Vivian Balakrishnan on the margins of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting concerning the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, both Foreign Ministers underscored the value of their continued engagement following their recent meeting in New York last September. Today's discussion focused primarily on developments regarding the ongoing Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

In relation to this conflict, H.E. Prak Sokhonn took the opportunity to brief H.E. Vivian Balakrishnan on the latest situation, emphasizing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and calling for diplomatic negotiations and constructive dialogue to ensure a lasting peace for the people of both nations.
