Cambodian First Lady Leads Medical Mission, Providing Free Healthcare to Some 2,800 Residents in Kratie

Kratie: In a significant public health outreach, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, the First Lady of Cambodia, personally led a team of volunteer doctors to provide free medical care to 2,801 residents in a remote part of Kratie province on Saturday.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the mission was conducted under the Samdech Techo Youth Volunteer Doctors Association (TYDA), addressing 4,645 individual medical cases in Prek Samann village, in the commune of the same name, Chhlong district. Volunteers delivered essential services including consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of health conditions.

The initiative is part of a broader government-supported effort to alleviate financial burdens on rural families and bridge the healthcare gap for remote and disadvantaged communities across the nation.
