Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has extended her condolences to her Canadian counterpart over the current natural disasters affecting western Canada.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Khuon Sudary expressed her sorrow in a message to Honourable Francis Scarpaleggia, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada. She conveyed her deep grief regarding the severe flooding, debris, and avalanche risks that have displaced thousands of families, caused significant property damage, and led to the closure of major highways to Vancouver.
On behalf of the Cambodian National Assembly and herself, Khuon Sudary offered heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Speaker Scarpaleggia and, through him, to the families severely affected by the natural disaster.
Khuon Sudary emphasized Cambodia's solidarity with the Canadian people and government during this challenging time, wishing all victims and affected communities a swift recovery and return to normalcy.
