Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the First Lady, Lok Chumteav Dr. PICH Chanmony Hun Manet, will pay an Official Visit to the French Republic from Jan. 18 to 19, 2024, at the invitation of H.E. Emmanuel MACRON, President of the French Republic. France holds the distinction of being the first European nation that Samdech Thipadei will visit since assuming office in August 2023, underlined a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public this evening. According to the source, Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet will be received by President Emmanuel MACRON for official talks at the Palais de l'Élysée. The meeting between the two Leaders offers an auspicious opportunity for both governments to reaffirm their collective commitment to elevating their traditional relations of excellent cordial friendship to a new height, charting a course of action to enhance and expand mutually beneficial cooperation within both bi lateral and multilateral frameworks, and collaborating to tackle global challenges while upholding a rule-based international order. Several documents will be signed during the visit. During his stay in France, Samdech Thipadei will pay a Courtesy Call on H.E. Gérard LARCHER, President of the Senate, and H.E. Ms. Yael Braun-Pivet, President of the National Assembly. In addition, Samdech Thipadei will receive Courtesy Calls by H.E. Ms. Louise MUSHIKIWABO, Secretary-General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, and Mr. Geoffroy ROUX DE BEZIEUX, President of Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF). To further promote Cambodia-France economic and investment cooperation, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister will attend a business forum, have a number of separate meetings with French companies and preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents, including the adhesion of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce into the APF. Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and the First Lady will be H.E. Deputy P rime Minister SUN Chanthol, First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with other Ministers, key officials of the Royal Government, and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
