Phnom penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet this afternoon outlined the Royal Government of Cambodia's major tasks in response to the aggressive attacks by Thai forces on Cambodian territory. He stressed that the government's foremost and immediate priorities are: protecting the people, and safeguarding the territorial integrity under Cambodia's sovereignty.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Prime Minister called upon all ministries, institutions, authorities at all levels, branches of the armed forces, and Cambodian citizens to stand united for the nation during this challenging period. His remarks followed reports from the Ministry of National Defence indicating that Thai forces have carried out attacks in various areas including An Ses, Tamone Thom Temple, Preah Vihear Temple area, 5 Makara, Chamkar Chek, Mom Bei, Phnom Khmoach, Kaul 8, Ta Krabei Temple, and Khnar Temple. The attacks reportedly also impacted innocent civilians in Prey Chan and Chouk Chey villages, O'Beichoan commune, O'Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.
