Oddar meanchey: The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) has delivered relief to 753 displaced families sheltering in safe zones across Oddar Meanchey province.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the operation was carried out Friday on behalf of CRC President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen and led by Secretary-General H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie. Aid reached families at Kok Morn pagoda in Banteay Ampil district, Bat Tkao pagoda in Chong Kal district, and Phteah Baitong village.

Speaking during the distribution, H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie emphasized the importance of both physical sustenance and mental well-being. She stated, 'Physical peace means living free from war and the fear of ammunition,' encouraging residents to turn to meditation and spiritual practices for inner calm.

CRC teams also conducted health education sessions, advising pregnant women on prenatal care and urging families to maintain good hygiene, drink clean water, and sleep under mosquito nets to prevent malaria and dengue.

Each of the 753 families received 30 kg of rice, instant noodles, 10 cans of sardines, fish sauce, soy sauce, cooking oil, dairy products, bottled water, a hygiene kit with clothing and bedding, and a cash stipend of 20,000 Riels (US$5).
