Phnom penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate, has been paying close attention to the implementation of the ceasefire agreement reached by the Cambodian and Thai Prime Ministers yesterday afternoon in Malaysia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his deep appreciation to the Cambodian and Thai armed forces for respecting and implementing the ceasefire agreement and for successfully organising informal meetings between their military regions.
'Despite the ceasefire, I did not rest much. Last night, I rested for just over two hours and continued working until now, which may go on until 7 p.m. or longer depending on how the situation develops. My work from midnight on July 28 to July 29, 2025, has focused on ensuring the ceasefire agreement is successfully implemented to end the war and bring peace,' he said.
The former Cambodian Prime Minister also urged everyone to work together to preserve peace, warning that it is far more difficult to regain peace once it is lost.
