CAMSOC Highlights Progress of Cambodian Athletes Training in China

The Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) has highlighted the improved capacity of 161 Cambodian national athletes of 12 sports joining training camps in the People's Republic of China to get ready for the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

The update was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of CAMSOC after his recent inspection visit to the training camps in China.

The secretary general spoke highly of the Government of China's attention in coordinating the training and its warm hospitality for Cambodian athletes.

He was also positive that the training will increase more winning chances for Cambodian athletes during the SEA Games.

The training began in August 2022 and will last until late April 2023.

The 12 sports types include Gymnastics, Judo, Wushu, Basketball, Table Tennis, Athletics, Wrestling, Badminton, Swimming, Weightlifting, Soccer (Women) and Volleyball.

The training camp is supported by the Government of China to develop the Cambodian athletes' capacity not only for the SEA Games 2023, but for other international sports events.
