CDC Approves Three QIPs Worth US$14.4 Million to Boost Employment

Phnom penh: The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) recently granted approval for three qualified investment projects (QIPs) with a combined worth of US$14.4 million. These projects are anticipated to create approximately 910 job opportunities across three different provinces.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, CHIYUE Power Tech (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. is set to invest US$5.5 million to build a factory dedicated to manufacturing energy storage devices and other electrical appliances. This facility will be established in Thnal Teaksen village, Kraing Thnong commune, Bati district, Takeo province, and is expected to generate 200 jobs.

The second project involves New Concept (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., which plans to invest US$6 million in the production of plastic products, including inflatable toys, inflatable tents, and stand-up paddle boards. This factory will be located in the Foison Giga Special Economic Zone, Russei Am village, Khsaetr commune, Kong Ror district, Svay Rieng province, and is projected to provide employment for 530 individuals.

The third QIP is undertaken by NEXORA YUQIANG Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., with an investment of US$3 million. This project will focus on producing ovens, outdoor products, hardware, and plastic items. The factory will be situated in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, extending over Pou Thoeung village in Sangkat Bet Trang and Smach Daeng village in Sangkat Ream, Kampong Som city, Preah Sihanouk province. It is expected to create 180 jobs.
