Phnom penh: Nanjing Xinyada Information Technology of the People's Republic of China is interested in investing in Cambodia's education and seeks potential support from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the intention was highlighted by Mr. Zeng Botao, Director General of the Nanjing Xinyada Information Technology, during a meeting with H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports in Phnom Penh on July 28.
Mr. Zeng Botao mentioned that the education cooperation focuses on the Cambodia-China vocational and technological education, the establishment of a model digital university, the Cambodia-China digital university, and the connection between Cambodia's ICT with China's universities on international education.
H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron welcomed the visit of the Chinese delegation to Cambodia and supported the Chinese firm's intention to invest and cooperate with the ministry to promote education and human resources in Cambodia.
The Minister acknowledged the firm's initiative to develop Cambodia's education, particularly digital skill education, to respond to the current and future labor market needs, and encouraged the establishment of a relevant working group to monitor and discuss the mentioned tasks further.
