CHRC Appeals for Urgent Action Concerning Continued Threats to the Right to Adequate Housing of Cambodian Citizens in Cambodia-Thai Border


Phnom penh: H.E. Keo Remy, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), has sent another letter to Mr. Balakrishnan Rajagopal, Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, calling for urgent action regarding continued threats to the right to adequate housing of Cambodian citizens in the Cambodia-Thai Border area.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the letter emphasizes the ongoing challenges faced by Cambodian citizens in securing adequate housing near the border. The CHRC is seeking international support to address these issues, highlighting the urgency of the situation. The appeal aims to garner attention and prompt a response from global human rights bodies to ensure the protection of citizens’ housing rights in this region.
