Phnom penh: The Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) has released a notification outlining safety measures for mine action operations and explosive ordnance risk education in response to recent Thai military incursions into Cambodia. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the notification addresses the challenges posed by Thai military activities, which have been ongoing since July 2025. These actions have violated multiple international agreements and led to civilian casualties and significant property damage. The incursions have also disrupted humanitarian mine clearance efforts, affecting over 900 demining personnel and forcing the relocation of more than 200,000 families.
