COVID-19: Five New Deaths Reported, but 500 More Patients Recovered

Cambodia registered five new COVID-19-related deaths; bringing the death toll to 3,038, pointed out a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning, stressing that all the new death cases have not been vaccinated against the virus.

Meanwhile, 366 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, were detected, of which 340 were locally transmitted and 26 were imported.

The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally now increased to 131,738, including 11,285 Omicron cases (10,310 Omicron community cases).

But, up to 507 more patients have successfully been cured; the total recovered cases thus jumped to 125,536.

The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
