COVID-19: New Cases Drop to Only 12; Tally 136,228

The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia keeps dropping, to only 12 this morning, said a press release of the Ministry of Health.

The new infections are all locally transmitted Omicron variant, underlined the same source, adding that the Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally rose to 136,228, including 15,775 Omicron cases (14,425 Omicron community cases).

Meanwhile, the ministry recorded 24 new recoveries, but zero new death; the total cured cases and death toll stood at 132,945 and 3,056, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
