Banteay meanchey: H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, conducted a field visit on Saturday to frontline troops stationed along the Cambodian-Thai border in Military Region 5, encompassing Banteay Meanchey and Battambang provinces. The visit was aimed at boosting morale and conveying national gratitude to personnel securing the Kingdom's sovereignty ahead of the upcoming Khmer New Year celebrations. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, addressing commanders and rank-and-file soldiers, H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha lauded the "unwavering commitment and heroism" of the troops. He emphasised that the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) remain the fundamental pillar of national stability and the backbone of the Royal Government's security strategy. "Your mission is the highest service to the motherland," the Defence Minister told the gathered personnel. "In all circumstances, the RCAF stands as the reliable guardian for both the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia." During the engagement, the Deputy Prime Minister relayed official greetings and New Year blessings from the top leadership of the Royal Government. He offered traditional Buddhist blessings for longevity, nobility, happiness, and strength to all military staff and their families. Beyond the ceremonial aspects of the visit, H.E. Gen. Seiha underscored the necessity of operational readiness. He urged all units to maintain high vigilance and continue professional development to respond effectively to any emerging border situations. The Minister's tour is part of a broader Royal Government initiative to ensure that frontline personnel feel supported by the central administration during major national holidays, reinforcing the link between the state and its territorial defenders.
