Phnom penh: H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), received a delegation from MinebeaMitsumi Inc., led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, on July 29.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting was attended by H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the CDC, along with other senior officials. The discussion focused on acknowledging the company's past business activities and exploring expansion plans to increase MinebeaMitsumi's investment in Cambodia.
The meeting underscored the collaborative relationship between the Cambodian government and the foreign private sector, highlighting significant partnerships with Japanese investment corporations. H.E. Sun Chanthol expressed support for MinebeaMitsumi's expansion plans, viewing it as an opportunity to boost Cambodia's economy, incorporate high technology, and attract more international investors.
MinebeaMitsumi, a Japanese company, has been operational in Cambodia since 2011 at the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, producing precision motors, ball bearings, and electronic components. The company also expanded with a second facility in Pursat province, enhancing production and introducing advanced manufacturing technologies.
