SANDAKAN, Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil has expressed condolences to the family of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sandakan correspondent Nur Adika Bujang who died today. "Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un, I have received the sad news of the passing of @bernamaofficial journalist in Sandakan, Nur Adika Bujang. I was informed that Nur Adika, 45, passed away at her home. 'May Allah have mercy and forgive her sins and place her among the believers," he said in an Instagram post. Earlier, Nur Adika's mother Nafsiah Bubin confirmed her death when contacted, adding that she had accepted what happened. She served with Bernama as a journalist for nearly 20 years, beginning on Oct 31, 2005, and was appointed Sandakan correspondent on Jan 1, 2019. Meanwhile, Sabah Journalists Association (SJA) president Datuk Muguntan Vanar also conveyed condolences to Nur Adika's family. 'She was a true friend, we were always there for each other in our ups and downs. Our media family in Sabah has lost one of our beloved members and a true friend,' he said. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
