First-ever CSCC Alumni Reception: “Partnering Cambodia’s Growth Journey”

The Singaporean Embassy in Phnom Penh on Wednesday hosted the first-ever Cambodia-Singapore Cooperation Centre (CSCC) alumni reception.

The event was attended by some 200 guests, including Guest of Honour H.E. Ouch Borith, Minister Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister and Standing Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

According to the Singapore Embassy in Phnom Penh, since 2002, more than 11,000 Cambodian officials have attended courses under the Initiative for ASEAN Integration.

In the early years of Cambodia’s nation building, Singapore offered courses such as IT training programme; basic financial management; and trade, logistics and facilitation.

The CSCC is now curating courses such as Big Data and Analytics; Entrepreneurship and Start-up Ecosystems; and 'Sustainable Development and Urban Planning.

H.E. Ms. Teo Lay Cheng, Singaporean Ambassador to Cambodia, announced that the embassy will be launching a microsite soon for people who are interested to know more about the CSCC.
