Cambodia's northeastern provinces have been forecast to be affected most by the anticipated tropical typhoon called Matmo commencing Oct. 31 until Nov. 3.
The update was shared recently with local media by H.E. Chan Yutha, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.
Deriving from the South China Sea, he continued, the 22nd tropical typhoon will result in the windstorm with the speed of between 15 to 20 metres per second.
According to the ministry's forecast, the storm will cause low pressure and rainfalls in most areas of Cambodia, particularly from Nov. 1 to 7.
