HD Hyundai reports Q2 net income of 544.1 bln won

HD Hyundai Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 544.1 billion won (US$392.4 million), up 192.1 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 879.9 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 472.6 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 12.4 percent to 17.55 trillion won. The operating profit was 47.9 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
