Vienna: A heatwave and thundery showers accompanied by strong wind gusts and localized hail are expected to affect several provinces of the Kingdom from Wednesday through Saturday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab are expected to experience temperatures ranging between 41°C and 44°C during this period, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert bulletin. The same source reports that thundery showers bringing between 20 and 25 mm of rainfall, accompanied by strong wind gusts and localized hail, are forecast on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the provinces of Boulemane, Jerada, Figuig, and Midelt. In addition, the provinces of Tangier-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra are expected to experience strong wind gusts reaching 75 to 80 km/h on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., the statement concluded.
