Phnom penh: His Majesty the King has appointed H.E. Mrs. Chhy Va as the new Governor of Koh Kong, a coastal province of Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the appointment was made through a royal decree signed by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, on Aug. 20.
H.E. Mrs. Chhy Va previously held the position of Deputy Governor of Koh Kong. She takes over the role from H.E. Mrs. Mithona Phouthorng, who has been promoted to Secretary of State at the Ministry of Women's Affairs by another royal decree.
