Phnom penh: Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra met on Tuesday afternoon with independent Cambodian adventure cyclist Mr. Tiv Dararith to commend his successful completion of a two-year solo global expedition to raise funds for children's healthcare in Cambodia. The courtesy meeting took place at the Ministry of Information headquarters in Phnom Penh.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Dararith embarked on a journey titled "Cycling Around the World for Cambodian Children," covering 60,000 kilometers across 40 countries over two years. This humanitarian effort raised a total of US$260,243.57, which will be donated to the Angkor Hospital for Children and the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation. The funds aim to support free medical treatment, consultations, and healthcare services for Cambodian children.
During the meeting, H.E. Neth Pheaktra praised Dararith's dedication to social welfare and his commitment to improving children's health. The minister encouraged him to continue pursuing future initiatives for the cause.
