Japan to Support Harbour Development Master Plan Study in Preah Sihanouk Province

Japan is supporting Cambodia with the feasibility study for the Kingdom’s harbour development master plan that will include the systematization of special economic zones in Preah Sihanouk province.

The assistance was highlighted by H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia during his recent meeting with H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance at the ministry here in Phnom Penh.

From his end, H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth thanked the ambassador for the support initiative and will discuss the technical aspect of it with competent teams.

The two sides also touched on other cooperation aspects, including further development of Phnom Penh capital infrastructure, bilateral agreement to avoid double taxation, and beyond.

Japan is considered a key development partner country of Cambodia and has been contributing significantly to Cambodia’s peace restoration, economic enhancement, and development in other sectors.
