KING, QUEEN OFFICIATE LAMAN TUANKU

KUALA LUMPUR, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah today officiated the Laman Tuanku, here. Located near Gate 3 of the Istana Negara, Laman Tuanku is a public park, and its construction took inspiration from Their Majesties' compassionate nature. Their Majesties were greeted upon arrival by the KH Land Sdn Bhd chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Jeff Yap, before being escorted to a commemorative photo session at the gallery. KH Land is the developer for the construction of Laman Tuanku. Their Majesties were then given a tour of the gallery, displaying photos and replicas of the entire development of Laman Tuanku, before signing the inauguration plaque. Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah then officiated the ceremony by releasing pigeons, as a symbol of the launch of Laman Tuanku. Built on an area of 1.6 hectares, Laman Tuanku has 13 gardens representing the states, such as Laman Darul Makmur, with a special garden known as Laman Permaisuri, which is filled with spices and herbs often used in cooking by Tunku Azizah, and is expected to be a visitor attraction once it is open to the public in March.
