Lao President Begins Two-Day State Visit to Cambodia

Phnom penh: H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, arrived in Cambodia this morning to undertake a two-day State Visit to the Kingdom.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit is made at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, as outlined in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the two-day State Visit, His Majesty the King will grant a Royal Audience to H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH and host a State Banquet in his honour at the Royal Palace.

H.E. General Secretary will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM Sihanouk "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh", the late King-Father.

H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The State Visit of H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH aims to further strengthen the friendship between Cambodia and the Lao PDR, focusing on enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership for the development and prosperity of both nations and peoples.
