H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment, has received two guests from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mr. Jiangfeng Zheng and the Centre for the Promotion of Imports (CBI) Mr. Jim Tersleeg in two separate meetings at the ministry recently.
Mr. Jiangfeng Zheng, ADB’s Director of Natural Resources and Agriculture of Southeast Asia Department talked with H.E. Say Samal on the bank-supported projects for Greater Mekong Sub?regional countries including Cambodia.
The projects significantly contributed to the country’s sustainable development, especially in the areas of agriculture, natural resource management, infrastructure, renewable energy, and education.
Mr. Jim Tersleeg, CBI’s senior expert informed the minister that his team is working with Cambodian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Phnom Penh capital and Siem Reap province on home material production for exports.
H.E. Say Samal thanked the two guests for the cooperation yielding positive impacts on Cambodia’s environment sector as well as natural resource conservation.
