Phnom penh: The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have discussed bilateral cooperation on human resource development in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussion took place in a meeting held in Phnom Penh on November 26 between Cambodian Minister of MLVT H.E. Heng Sour and Ms. Yasmin Siddiqi, the newly appointed ADB Country Director for Cambodia.
H.E. Heng Sour expressed appreciation for the cooperation of ADB in supporting the labour and vocational training sector. He noted the significant progress achieved in the development of the vocational training sector, which serves as a foundation for building a skilled workforce, supporting labour market demand, and attracting investment.
Ms. Yasmin Siddiqi thanked the ministry for its cooperation and reaffirmed ADB's commitment to supporting development related to the labour and vocational training sector.
Both parties agreed to support and accelerate the development of human resources in Cambodia, aiming for sustainable socio-economic progress in the Kingdom.
