Phnom penh: The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. have formalised a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the city. This collaboration aims to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the MoU was signed by H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, and Mr. Cui Xiaohui, Senior Vice President of Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation in skills development, technology transfer, and joint research. This initiative aligns with the Belt and Road Initiative and Cambodia's priority on human resource development.
H.E. Heng Sour highlighted the necessity of developing skills in smart manufacturing and robotics, along with the transfer of advanced technologies to Cambodian youth. The initiative is designed to ensure that labour skills and standards align with both domestic and international market demands while adapting to the rapid changes in global digital technologies.
