Phnom penh: The Ministry of Tourism and Korea's Go and Do Social Welfare Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly contribute to the development of Cambodia's tourism sector. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Tourism under the witness of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Korean side will provide support for training and further strengthening Korean language capacity among Cambodian students and tour guides. This initiative responds to the needs of the Korean tourist market, which ranks among Cambodia's top ten major sources of international visitors.
H.E. Huot Hak expressed his sincere appreciation to Mr. Park Woo Hee, President of Go and Do Social Welfare Corporation, for the enduring cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the new initiatives proposed. The minister noted that these efforts will play a significant role in enhancing the quality of hospitality and reception services for Korean tourists.
The minister also urged the President to consider expanding cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism. This expansion aims to advance Cambodia's tourism sector, strengthen people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea, and promote mutual tourism flows between the two countries more actively and extensively by 2026.
